I'm Hooked

It's  HUMP DAY!  That means it's time for another Currently Coveting.  Usually I alternate between items I wish to buy and personal and emotional goals, but sometimes those two roads intersect when you find an item that strikes you in a sentimental way.  Last week the fabulous India Hicks shared her new Fish Hook Necklace on Instagram and I was immediately drawn to it.  Quickly I took a screen shot and made a mental note that this touch of sparkle required further investigation, then I went on with my day and didn't give it another thought.  The next day my mind kept drifting back to this necklace.  There was something about it that was drawing me in.  I just have this feeling that it's meant for me.  I'm a sentimental person.  I have jewelry pieces that I wear everyday.  I feel like they are a part of me and I'm naked without them.  It's very rare that I find something I fall in love with and I'm totally smitten with this necklace.  It reminds me of home and has that bit of edge I'm always attracted to.  This may have to be a nice little gift to myself.  I haven't treated myself in a long time and I tend to always feel guilty when I do.  Lately all our purchases have been for the move or we have been scrimping and saving for the purchase of our next home, so buying jewelry like this just hasn't been in the cards.  I think it's time Bubba and I both treat ourselves to something that puts a smile on our face.  We've been dealing with some of out toughest challenges and we have even bigger ones ahead.  It's time we do a little something for ourselves.  Lucky for me this necklace is not a huge stretch.  If I save my change I should be wearing this baby in no time.  My hope is that with this necklace home won't feel so far away.    Have you treated yourself lately?

  1. what a gorgeous, gorgeous necklace!

  2. Oh yes, go ahead and treat yourself. It's lovely and I can see why it reminds you of home. Their will always be mountains to climb. Might as well wear something you love while climbing them.

I love comments and read them all! Please feel free to share you ideas and opinions. I enjoy hearing from everyone.
