If you're anything like me then right now your mind is focused on the coast. It's that time of year where those who are land locked start dreaming of their summer vacations. Since Bubba and I lived at the beach until this past year, home is often on our minds. I've been craving warm breezes and salt air for months, but lately it has been that easy laid back decor style that I miss. When someone mentions coastal style most people immediately think light whites, sea glass, drift wood, sailor navy and natural fibers like sea grass. For me coastal design is about function and comfort. Not only are the colors easy breezy, but the furnishings are plush and wrap you in comfort. There's no room for stuffy style in this relaxed environment. Coastal homes are designed to make the most of every inch of space with a no muss, no fuss attitude. It's that carefree way of thinking that I miss the most. What is your favorite thing about coastal style?
