The Art of Meghan Howland

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

It's time for another installment of Arts Education.  Every other Tuesday I'll be sharing an artists that I have found on my journey to learn more about the art world.  This week I'm sharing the beautiful work of Meghan Howland.

A few weeks ago I came across these paintings over at The Jealous Curator.  I immediately fell in love with them.  There is a touch of melancholy in all those beautiful colors.   For me they mirror life's yin and yang - The beauty with the sorrow/joy with pain.  I'm especially drawn to her work with the birds.  I would love to have one of these in my collection.

If you haven't already.... please check out Daniella Krysa over at her blog The Jealous Curator.  Her site has been a wonderful source for learning about new and wonderful contemporary art.

Be sure to check out Gray Maline's new Antarctica series now available at One Kings Lane.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Climate Reality Project.
