Dream Home #5

When I came across this house the other day it only took me a second to know I had to share it as this weeks home tour. Home owners Regan and Zach Carlile found their circa 1980's fixer upper in the University Park area of Dallas, TX.  Along with their design team the Carlile's created a fearless interior style and a home filled with personality and color.

Pink is the name of the game in this ladylike sitting room.

Painting the homes original red brick exterior a rich shade of grey gives the house a more modern vibe.

The entry is a real show stopper covered in Shumacher's Zimba wallpaper.  The Brass and Glass hand rails were created by local artisans.

The mirrored ceiling in this dining room reflects the light and serene decor.

I love everything about this kitchen from the Hicks pendants to the brass details.  Every surface has been considered in the design, including the ceiling.  The Designers Guild/Osborne & Little wallpaper gives the room an extra special touch.

Another pink room, but this one uses a pop or orange giving a formal room a youthful feeling.

This has to be one of the coolest play rooms I've ever seen.  Perfect for hip teens to hang with friends and pass the time.

Love it or hate it, this house is a great example of expressing your personal style and being color confident.  Most often it's the Rule Breakers that  make a big design statement.  Don't be afraid of taking risks. What's most important is that you find happiness in your home.
