Seeing Pink

Monday, December 23, 2013

Today will be a crazy day for me.  I'll be packing bags, cleaning house, baking the last of the goodies and trying to tie up any lose ends so Bubba and I can hit the road.  NORTH CAROLINA HERE WE COME!  Can you tell I'm excited?  Who has two thumbs and is desperate for some family time?...... This Girl!  Since it's officially the Christmas crunch and we're all rushing to complete our "To-Do" list I thought it would be nice to share something delicate and easy on the eyes.

This year you may have seen the resurgence of the 'Oh So Glam' pink Christmas tree.  A throwback to the 50's and 60's this feminine and delicate theme may not be for everyone, but you can't deny that it has some serious style possibilities and staying power.

These pastel trees trimmed with gold, silver and sparkle fill the room with a warm and gentle glow.  The more I see... the more I want to have a room dedicated to one of these babies next Christmas.  I'm sure Bubba would gawk at the idea of a pink tree, but I may have to give it a try.  These pink ladies have so much personality.  I guess that's what draws me to them.  They stand out and demand attention.  They look so delicate and delicious like a well made petit fours.  It doesn't get more girly than this.  That's why this would have to be limited to one room in our home.  I visually lean towards more masculine lines and a month of pink decor could send me over the edge, but I like the look of this feminine tree balanced by other masculine features in a room.  It's definitely a consideration for next year.
