From the Runway to Your Home

Pastel pinks and nudes were a big hit at fashion week and on the red carpet at the Emmys. These blushing and fleshy colors can be difficult to integrate into your home due to the tendency to feel bland or childlike.  When used well they can create the most serene and elegant interiors.    Being a neutral you have more room to play with your other design colors.  See if this could be the new look for you....

Start small with a throw blanket or pillow to make sure you're comfortable with the color.  If you would like it as a wall color, then paint a sample square on a wall where the light changes throughout the day.  Most importantly be patient.  It may take a while to find the perfect shade, but it will be well worth it when you see the end result.
