The Spring Purge

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

With the arrival of warm weather many of us are busy making our home "To-Do" lists. We are ready to open the windows to freshen the paint or tackle those built-in bookshelves we always wanted.  For me.... I'm on the look out for a fantastic dresser or console for the front entry.  What ever may be on your Spring Dream list, there is one thing we should all consider first...  Have You Finished Your Spring Purge.

This is the perfect time to tackle all the clutter and junk.  Clearing your home and getting organized helps have a clearer vision of any interior decor changes we may want to make.  It also gives us the opportunity to see what should be at the top of our lists for function and efficiency in our homes.  The BONUS.... Having everything in it's place makes for quick and easy cleaning so we can have more time to play in the sun.

Personally I like to take on these projects head on and don't come up for air til it's all done.  Since not everyone has open schedules it may be wiser to set aside a few hours here and there and plan to wrestle one closet or pantry at a time.

Here are some great products and ideas to get you organized.

I would love if my pantry could look like this everyday, but we all know that's just not going to happen.  This is something I strive for.  Once organized it won't take long to return everything to it's place.   Learn simple steps to clean and organize your pantry at Real Simple.
