Wallpaper Love

I have found the wallpaper I've been hunting for!  I'm in love with this geometric featured in this years NYC Holiday House!  This is a wonderful event to raise awareness and money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  Top designers decorate a room to represent various holidays throughout the year.  I adore this idea and truly enjoy seeing the artistic and stylish interpretations of the holidays. Geometrics have been turning my head for years now, but I could never find a pattern that had the right balance for my tastes.  Well, here it is!  This room is a perfect example of how to have strong geometric patterns in a room and there still be balance and light.  From the wallpaper to the ribbon trim detail on the sofa and the modern paintings you can see that everything carries equal weight.  This room is both masculine and feminine with chic and sophisticated detail.  Can I be Genie and blink this into my home right now!  I have to admit my husband might be thrown by the pink, but I think he would get over it in time.  Until I develop super powers I will have to settle for hunting down a budget friendly version of the wallpaper.
A second room in the Holiday House showcases this geometric on the floor.  I am reminded that geometrics are here to stay.  I love the retro feel of these patterns and the  relevance created by their application.  Don't be afraid people!  This stuff is great!

This rug shows that these modern prints can be just as beautiful in traditional spaces.

Check out the Holiday House to see beautiful design and support a great cause!  You can't go wrong.
