Endless Possibilities

I am in love with the idea of embellishing my own curtains.  So often I have a vision of what I want, but can't find it in a readymade fabric.  The heavens opened up when I ran across this post at Teal & Lime!  Time and time again I have wanted to create my own textiles.  Now I can!  The possibilities are endless for simple and clean design ideas.  For my dreams of more intricate textiles I will just have to wait for some designer to read my mind and bring it to fruition.
Embellished Curtain Via
This embellishment is as easy as cutting out appliques from another fabric and gluing them onto your own panels.  You can't always find what best represents your style prepackaged and at the right price. These DIY ideas are big on style and easy on the budget!  This project is a must for my office makeover.  I will attempt this in the coming weeks and share my experience.  Fingers crossed!
Stenciled Curtain Via
A beautiful stencil and fabric paint of your choice can recreate the look of pricy store bought curtains.
Dip Dyed Curtain Via
CasaSugar has a wonderful tutorial on how to dip dye curtains for that "Oh So Popular" ombre.
If you're a true crafter with a sewing machine then check out Design Sponge for the tutorial for this pleated curtain.
The sky is the limit!  All the information you need is right at your fingertips.  Beautiful home decor doesn't have to break the bank.  When I walk into someone's home I love seeing their personal touches.  That's what makes a house a home.
Let me know what you think about this blog.
