Dream Home #17

Thursday, April 10, 2014

This weeks house is in Nashville, Tennessee.  Designer Jeannette Whitson brought in lots of natural elements to give this new construction home an earthy and lived in feeling.  This home is equal parts fresh and cozy without giving an inch on style.

Windows, windows, windows.... This home is filled with natural light and there is nothing I love more than tons of natural light.  It's crucial to make a home feel open and healthy and this house has it in spades!  I'm also head over heels with the library painted in Farrow & Ball's Hague Blue with a Michael S. Smith fabric on the ceiling.  Hague blue is a personal favorite and I get goose bumps when someone wraps an entire room and cabinetry in this rich color.  The library is a cool and cozy contrast to the the rest of the home where neutral colors and natural textures are the main theme.  Of course I have to mention the stairway!  The space is so amazing!  All it's missing is a little bench or seat to curl up with a book.  You can see more about this gorgeous Nashville home here.
